SUNNYVALE, CA - Wednesday, December 13th, 2017
Ooma, Inc. (NYSE: OOMA), a smart communications platform for business and consumers, today announced new products for the Ooma smart home phone service that deliver additional features and convenience to users.
The new Ooma Telo Air with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on-board connects to the Internet wirelessly using the home’s Wi-Fi network and can be paired with mobile phones to answer incoming mobile calls from any phone in the home. Setup is quick and easy using the new app-based setup for Android or iOS mobile devices by scanning a QR code on the Ooma Telo Air to select a new phone number, setup the account and configure the Wi-Fi settings in just a few minutes.
Also new is the cordless Ooma HD3 Handset. It is ergonomically designed for added comfort and can conveniently be used as a speakerphone while charging in the cradle, for added productivity. The Ooma HD3 Handset delivers smart features, such as the ability to sync the phone book with online contacts from Apple, Google, Yahoo and others, and display picture caller ID by syncing with Facebook or Linkedin profile pictures. One-touch voicemail access lets users check messages anywhere in the home and the intercom button allows them to talk between handsets or transfer calls.
“Ooma continues to innovate by adding the Telo Air and HD3 Handset to our revolutionary smart home phone service, freeing our customers from wires and expensive home phone bills,” said Dennis Peng, vice president of products at Ooma. “The ability to place Ooma Telo anywhere in the home with wireless Internet along with the ability to answer mobile calls on phones throughout the house is the ultimate in convenience.”
Built on an innovative technology platform, the Ooma Telo home phone service provides PureVoice HD call quality and the ability to remotely place a local 911 call from the home, providing all-encompassing protection and peace of mind for consumers, without the high cost. Customers who have an existing landline phone can keep their phone number when switching to Ooma, and use customizable call blocking to effectively wipe out telemarketers and robocalls. Each Ooma Telo can be used with up to four handsets.
Ooma Telo Air retails for $119.99 MSRP and will be available later in December. Ooma’s new HD3 Handset retails for $49.99 MSRP and will be available in January.
