PCMag Readers Name Ooma Office the Best Business VoIP Phone Service for the Fifth Year in a Row

Sunnyvale, CA - Tuesday, March 13th, 2018

Ooma, Inc., a smart communications platform for businesses and consumers, announced today that – for the fifth year in a row – the company’s Ooma Office service has won PCMag’s prestigious Business Choice Award for Best VoIP Solution.

The award (https://www.pcmag.com/news/359660/business-choice-awards-2018-voice-over-ip-voip-systems) is part of the magazine’s annual Reader’s Choice Survey, and Ooma once again came out on top among 14 finalists, including Vonage, RingCentral, Google Voice, Comcast, Skype, Verizon and Avaya.

PCMag’s award citation says: “Five years on top! For half a decade of doing the Business Choice Survey for VoIP, one name has consistently stood out with PCMag readers. Ooma is the perennial favorite in this category.”

“A very important measure of any software or service is the response to the critical question, ‘How likely are you to recommend your VoIP service to a colleague?’ It’s no surprise that Ooma is in the lead with a 9.3 (score out of 10), up from last year’s 9.1,” said Dan Costa, editor-in-chief of PCMag. “That same question is used to calculate the Net Promoter Score (NPS), which really separates the VoIP tools from the VoIP toys. Ooma, once again, stands alone at the top of the pack with a killer 89 percent, getting stronger and stronger, from 70 percent to 68 percent to 72 percent to 89 percent.”

Jim Gustke, vice president of marketing at Ooma, said: “Ooma works hard to deliver a powerful ‘big company’ phone system at a ‘small business’ price point. We are honored that our customers are so enthusiastic in sharing their appreciation of Ooma Office with PCMag, one of the most influential tech publications.”

Ooma Office (www.ooma.com/office) is an affordable, flexible and scalable cloud-based communications platform. No service contracts are required with Ooma Office, and the system works with a company’s existing analog phones and fax machines, as well as Ooma-provisioned IP phones. The Ooma Office for Mobile app keeps workers fully connected when away from their desks, while advanced features such as a virtual receptionist and ring groups keep businesses from missing customer calls.
